Tomium Activity Monitor for DB2™

Tomium Activity Monitor for DB2 is the most efficient real-time auditing technology for DB2 on z/OS. It was designed from the ground up to monitor DB2 activity at the highest levels of efficiency. The software has the smallest installation footprint of any comparable product, and operates with no need for modifications to z/OS, applications, or DB2 schema. Tomium Activity Monitor for DB2 is a stable, proven solution that is installed and protecting enterprise DB2 for z/OS sites at major corporations around the globe.

The solution collects DB2 activity data that can be streamed to any of three heterogeneous enterprise class auditing solutions: Imperva SecureSphere, or McAfee Database Activity Monitoring. The core technology and capabilities are the same regardless of which product processes the audit data.

Protection

Tomium offers flexible and powerful auditing for any combination of DB2 users, tables, plans/packages, DDL, and DB2 commands and utilities. Monitor SQL SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE for any given DB2 table. Tomium Activity Monitor for DB2 monitors both local and remote DB2 connections with easy-to-use rules that allow a user to take advantage of naming patterns. Audit data is streamed instantaneously to the auditing console.

Easy Installation and Operation

The collector runs as a single started task per LPAR. Each started task (agent) can monitor any number of DB2 subsystems running on an LPAR. The z/OS installation is quick and easy:
